Splinter Cell 4 Xbox360 Game Details, Tons Of Info!

According to a report on SC4 for the Xbox360 in the latest Game Informer magzine, a bunch of new details about the game have been revealed. This time around Sam will be in a situation unlike any before, and we will see a broken and desperate man. The Ubisoft Shanghai studios are really turning things upside down this time, and that is good, it is what keeps a series fresh. As we already know, tragedy strikes Sam and his daughter is killed by a drunk driver. Since Sam is overcome with grief, Lambert is forced to pull Sam off active duty with Echelon. Since Sam seeks solace in his work, he begs Lambert for a mission and Sam gets the only position available as NOC agent. An NOC operative is someone who is put undercover into a criminal organization or drug ring, but since they are a Non-Offical Cover operative, if they are found out then they are on their own.

This game will immerse players much more in the world of international espionage than the previous games. This time Sam finds himself on US soil infiltrating a terrorist organization called JBA - John Brown's Army. John Brown is likley a reference to the anti-slavery advocate of the 1800s (remeber Harper's Ferry - high school was not that long ago for some of you). Like the historical brown, the organization breaks laws to further the cause of freedom, or so they believe. Of course, Sam must first earn their trust before he can begin to infiltrate them, and to do so he is put in jail with one of the group's members whose name is Jamie.

Sam and Lambert hatch a plan to turn Sam into one of the country's most notorious criminals, and once Sam joins the JBA, the game takes a turn like no other SC game before it. The gameplay mechanics will mostly remain the same, but because he is now playing a criminal, Sam will have to complete terrorist objectives as well. At times Sam will have to choose between reamining under cover and completing the JBA missions or doing the right thing and risk losing his cover.

Google claims, servers power bill might exceed their initial cost

Google claims, servers power bill might exceed their initial cost

Google engineers are claiming that the way servers are heading, soon it would become more expensive to run them than buying them. And this might become bad news for companies like Google, which relies highly on these web servers. Expert Luiz Andre Barroso said in a statement: “If performance per watt is to remain constant over the next few years, power costs could easily overtake hardware costs, possibly by a large margin.”

He added: “The possibility of computer equipment power consumption spiraling out of control could have serious consequences for the overall affordability of computing, not to mention the overall health of the planet.” This is good news for companies developing and promoting low power consuming servers like Sun Microsystems.

HP unveils virtual conference rooms

Hewlett-Packard Co. on Monday jumped into the business of providing the technology - and building the rooms - for large companies to hold virtual face-to-face meetings regardless of the distance between participants.

HP's Halo Collaboration Studio offers a nearly immersive environment where people can see each other, talk and collaborate remotely as if they were in the same room. The underlying network, built and serviced by HP, minimizes delays and never crosses the public Internet.

Developed in partnership with DreamWorks Animation SKG LLC, the rooms are targeted at large corporations that are looking to cut down on the amount of time and money spent flying people to different locations. Each room costs roughly $550,000 with an $18,000 per month fee though the charges vary with the number ordered.
